TATBİKAT

Tatbikat (Field Exercise/operation) has transformed the exhibition space into an experimental area where a self-producing and a self-presenting method has existed.
Seven participants have agreed upon to stay together during this process and recorded their own improvisations of their collection of memories from the past and present and edited the footage in the medium of video.

If we describe this process as a road , the participant artists would have enough intersection points to form a sharing basis (a backround for exchanging ideas). The area, they have created through their mutual interactions and through their personal experiences, would belong to all involved artists even if it is temporary by its nature. This process has come into being by giving each of the artists the chance to tell their own stories.

They have given themselves the chance to storytell on their own so that this process would come into being. The space has been arranged (decorated) in accordance with all the stories told to recall them in their own way.The characters and the places of the personal stories pictured in their minds have been fictionalized and recreated.During these recreations, each participant has related his-her own past and perspective to the other's memories and experiences. Thus, the personal experiences have been transformed into interrelated experiences by mutual perception. The videos of these recreations have been screened in the exhibition area where the shootings have been done, during the whole process.

Tatbikat has been designed not as an introverted but as an exroverted laboratory space.
The exhibition area would be open to the memories and experiences of the viewers and the vievers are considered as participants as well during the whole process: the place is very wellcome to new subjects and objects and transformations.
The new recreations of past memories to the present have been improvised, recorded edited and screened in the experimental area.
The video of each recreation shooting has been added to the experimental exhibition area by the means of projection machines and screens. (has become a part of the exhibition area trough screens and by the means of projection)
At the final day of thes 15-day process, all the strata collected from the very first day, have been presented as video and spatial art, all together interrelated.
The different experiences all together transforming into new experiences makes the space recreated in different layers in time, therefore a unique experiment comes into being only for once which can not be repeated but only be lived for 15 days.

This experimentation on the move has been formed from the mutual and personal energydynamics, and the interactions of these seven persons.
Tatbikat would recreate itself in another time, in another space overlaying the previous.
